Welcome to New Orleans Sinuplasty

Hello. I am Dr. R. Daniel Jacob. I have been practicing medicine in the Greater New Orleans area and in Metairie and the Jefferson Parish area for the past 25 years. As a Board Certified Head and Neck Surgeon and Fellow of the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, some of you are more familiar with me for my expertise in facial plastic and reconstructive surgery; while as a Board Certified Head and Neck Surgeon and Otolaryngologist, others are more familiar with me for my expertise in the medical treatment of ENT illnesses and Head and Neck surgeries like general ENT surgical procedures, thyroidectomies, salivary gland surgeries, and nasal surgeries.

This website is devoted to one area of my proficiency that deals with chronic sinusitis symptoms and the recently developed balloon sinus surgery, also known as balloon sinuplasty, that offers relief to many sinus sufferers who qualify for this procedure. It is especially popular because it can be done in our Metairie office.

Balloon Sinuplasty may be the answer for you if your sinus cavities have narrowed due to chronic sinus disease, or if you experience chronic forehead headache, upper eye lid pain, and/or facial frontal pain in the cheek area. Of course, there may be other factors contributing to your chronic sinusitis like allergies and anatomic defects in your nasal septum and nasal turbinates. However, if you are a candidate for in-office balloon sinuplasty, you are indeed fortunate to now have this alternative here in the New Orleans area. It's quick, it's less invasive than traditional sinus surgery, it's cost effective, and the down-time is minimal. Most patients are back to work and their normal routine the day after the procedure. Please give us a call so that we can evaluate you to see if balloon sinuplasty is an option for you. If it is not, we can pursue your other alternatives like medications, allergy testing, and more invasive surgeries not done in the office.
